TOZO T20 Earbuds Review

TOZO T20 Wireless Earbuds

Hey guys! Today we’re going to take a look at the TOZO T20 true wireless earbuds. This is another addition to the ‘earbuds that don’t suck for under 30 bucks’ category. These earbuds sound great and offer a lot of features that you won’t find in earbuds that cost significantly more. I’ll explain why these may be my new favorite budget earbuds.

Highlights

The TOZO T20 pair offers up to 13 hours of use on a single charge and another 48 hours with the case, which is impressive at this price point. The earbuds are packed with 10 mm dynamic drivers and provide a full sound stage with impressive bass. They offer dual noise-canceling mics for clear call quality, Bluetooth 5.3, wireless charging with the case, and compatibility with the TOZO app.

Case

The TOZO T20 case design is pretty straightforward. I like the fact that it has an LCD readout on the front, so you always know how much charge is left in the case and each earbud.

The charging port is in the back, and as mentioned earlier, the case supports wireless charging, which is always a plus.

Charging the earbuds wirelessly

I also have to mention that although the T20s are said to offer up to 13 hours on a single charge, you probably won’t be able to achieve that unless you use them at around 25% volume. Over the past week, I’ve averaged around 10 hours on a charge, keeping the volume between 50% and 75%.

The earbuds don’t feature any type of quick charging. Charging the case will take about 1.5 hours.

Features

The TOZO T20 earbuds have stems, and the overall form factor is fine for me. They have never felt overly large or heavy while I was wearing them. I have been able to use them for 4 to 5-hour listening sessions without any ear fatigue or discomfort.

Great ear fit

You also have your playback controls, which are executed by touch, and they’ve worked fine for me so far. You can customize them through the app as well. With the TOZO app, you get access to pretty much any control that you would need.

The TOZO T20 earbuds are also IPX8 water-resistant, which will do just fine in protecting them against splashes of water and sweat.

With the Bluetooth 5.3 connection, I haven’t experienced any noticeable latency while watching videos on my Mac and iPhone.

Sound signature

Okay, now let’s get to the sound quality. The TOZO T20s are some of the best-sounding earbuds that I’ve tested at this price point. The sound signature that I get with them is close to what I get with the TOZO T10 earbuds.

The T10s were my previous favorite all-around pair at around this price. But to my ears, the T20s take the overall level of clarity up a notch.

The highs that the T20s provide are crisp and just buttery smooth all the way up to max volume with little to no distortion. The mids are also clear as I can usually hear dialogue really well. And the bass is impressive too: they do provide a decent to good thump on the lower end if that’s what you’re looking for.

The output with the T20s is also good as they do get more than loud enough for my personal liking. I think 75% volume is where you’re gonna get the best sound quality.

Please also keep in mind that you don’t get access to any of the higher definition Bluetooth codecs. You’re limited to SBC and AAC. In my opinion, using the TOZO T20 earbuds with my iPhone and the AAC codec has been completely fine, and I’ve never felt like I was missing out on anything.

As always, thanks for reading and take care!
