Hi! In this post, I’m going to walk you through a full review of the TOZO OpenEgo headphones. These awesome earbuds sit perfectly on the outside of your ear, which is actually the main idea behind their design.
I’ve been pretty impressed with TOZO products lately. I recently reviewed the TOZO HT2 noise-canceling headphones, so be sure to check that out.
What’s in the box
As for the TOZO OpenEgo earbuds, I’ve been testing them for about a week, and they’ve really impressed me. When you open up the TOZO OpenEgo box, you’ll, of course, get the earbuds themselves along with the charging case, a USB-C charging cable, and earphone braces to secure the earbuds comfortably on your ears. You’ll also find a user manual and a quick-start guide.
Powering on, off, and charging the TOZO OpenEgo
The easiest way to turn the TOZO OpenEgo on and off is to open the case, where you’ll see them activate automatically. The battery capacity is also displayed there.
To turn on each individual headphone, take it out, put it on your ear, and hold down for 3 seconds until you hear the activation sound.
To turn them on or off while inside the case, tap and hold for 5 seconds as per the guide included in the box, which is useful if you want to charge them. Each time you close the case, charging begins, just like with AirPods Pro or other Bluetooth headphones with a charging case.
Wearing comfort and audio quality
In terms of wearing, if you take the headphones out, it’s really simple. You just slide them on, and then you’ve got your ear open. When it comes to playing music, you’ll be able to hear everything around you, but you’ll also hear the music clearly.
When on a phone call, the audio actually comes through pretty clearly. For the price of these headphones, many of you will probably be very impressed with the audio quality.
Connecting and resetting the TOZO OpenEgo
To connect your TOZO OpenEgo to a phone or any Bluetooth-enabled device, just open the case. After about 3 to 5 seconds, go to your Bluetooth settings, and the TOZO OpenEgo should show up – simply tap to connect. It’s one of the simplest Bluetooth connections I’ve ever used.
If you ever need to reset them back to factory settings, just tap the headphones 6 times, and they’ll return to their original settings.
Music and call controls
For music control, tap once to pause or play, double-tap to skip forward, and triple-tap to skip backward. To adjust the volume, hold down on the left earbud to turn it down, and hold down on the right to turn it up.
For calls, tap once to answer. To hang up, hold a long press for at least two seconds. If you want to reject a call, simply hold a long press for two seconds as well. You can also activate Siri or a voice assistant: if you’re on an Android device, tap three times to activate voice control.
Warranty and customer support
One of the great things about the TOZO OpenEgo headphones is that they come with an 18-month warranty. There’s a QR code included that you can scan to activate it. If any issues come up with the OpenEgo, TOZO will send you a brand-new product, no questions asked. And this is really impressive.
And there you have it – a full review of the TOZO OpenEgo Bluetooth headphones. Thanks so much for tuning in! Remember to keep moving forward, and I’ll catch you in my next post. Bye!
