Snapdragon Sound Explained

First announced back in 2021, Snapdragon Sound by Qualcomm promised the best audio experience when it comes to listening to music, watching movies, playing games and even making phone calls on smartphones rocking the latest Snapdragon processor.

Snapdragon Sound

It offered features such as aptX adaptive at 24 bits, 48 kilohertz and 96 kilohertz, low latency mode when gaming, aptX voice so super wideband voice when on a call and Qualcomm Bluetooth high-speed link. Later on Qualcomm added aptX lossless codec that can deliver CD quality audio at 16 bits, 44.1 kilohertz and ed tracked special audio. Then recently we got an enhanced version of aptX lossless that goes up to 48 kilohertz and offered improved latency with back channel voice for in-game experiences.

For you to be able to fully enjoy these audio experiences you would need a device rocking the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and since it’s not limited to smartphones you’d also need compatible headphones or earbuds rocking the latest Snapdragon S3 or S5 chip.
