You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars just to get a great pair of true wireless earbuds. How do I know this? Well, it’s because I’ve reviewed and tested hundreds of earbuds throughout the years, and in this post, I’ll share the three best budget earbuds you can buy right now, all of which cost less than a hundred dollars.
Best budget earbuds under $30: Moondrop Space Travel
Starting at the lower end, we’ve got the Moondrop Space Travel. This pair of earbuds not only looks cool, but is fairly comfortable to wear and has excellent sound quality. The Moondrop Space Travel gained a nearly perfect grade in the multidimensional audio quality score. The earbuds also have a frequency response that “sounds” good to most people.
Not only that, the Moondrop Space Travel also features active noise cancellation, which is crazy for $30. These earbuds are definitely not gonna outperform Bose or Sony’s options, but for a pair of really cheap earbuds that cost less than $25, it’s damn impressive.
For starters, the charging case doesn’t have a lid. This means that the earbuds can easily fall out if you’re not careful. The earbuds also don’t have any water resistance rating. This means that they might suffer from water damage if you try to use them during your workouts. Also, if you have smaller ears, you may find that the bulb of the earbuds might be just a little bit uncomfortable for your ears.
Best cheap earbuds under $40: JLab JBuds Mini
The JLab JBuds Mini is another pair of the best cheap earbuds of 2025 that surprised me with their performance. The JLab JBuds Mini are so tiny that you could easily attach the charging case to your keychain. The earbuds themselves are also very small, which is great if you’re somebody who has smaller ears.
Besides its small size, the JLab JBuds Mini features an IP55 rating, good app features via the JLab app, and decent sound quality. I did find though that the buds sounded a little bass-heavy. There is also a bit of a peak in the highs between 5 to 10 kHz. This may create the illusion of added detail while listening to some tracks.
But again, given that the JLab JBuds Mini go for less than $40, these earbuds offer a lot of value for its price, and they’re definitely worth considering if you want to save some cash. Unfortunately, with a low price tag comes some compromises. The JBuds Mini doesn’t feature any active noise cancellation technology. Also, these earbuds don’t support any high-quality Bluetooth codecs, and you’re only going to be stuck with SBC and AAC.
Best budget earbuds under $100: EarFun Air Pro 4
The EarFun Air Pro 4 is my #1 pick for the best budget earbuds under $100 (in fact, they’re under $90 now). Based on my hands-on time with the Air Pro 4s, I can say that these earbuds really do punch above its price point. The earbuds offer a comfortable design with IPX5 waterproof rating, making them a really durable companion in the gym. The earbuds also feature the latest Bluetooth 5.4 spec, with support for LDAC and AptX losses for streaming high-quality audio over Bluetooth.
The EarFun Air Pro 4 also features good ANC performance, with the ability to reduce the loudness of outside noise by about 75%. In terms of sound quality, the EarFun Air Pro 4 received a very high score of 4.8 in the multi-dimensional audio quality score algorithm. This means that most listeners will most likely enjoy how these earbuds sound. But if the sound isn’t exactly to your liking, you could always take advantage of the 10-band EQ in the EarFun app.
For under $90, the EarFun Air Pro 4 earbuds really offer great performance and features for the price.
